Khaman Dhokla

Today, I had the pleasure of trying Khaman for the first time. At a farewell gathering for one of our colleagues, he brought in these savory delights made by himself and his wife. They were not only gluten-free but also incredibly delicious. The delicate flavor made for a truly enjoyable treat. I highly recommend trying some if you ever get the chance.

Khaman is a savoury snack from the western state of Gujarat in India. Made from ground channa daal or channa gram flour and is a popular savoury sponge dish popular throughout India.

Some of the earlier images on this site are AI-generated because, let’s be honest, I had neither the time nor the skills to snap Pinterest-worthy photos while juggling another job. But hey, practice makes progress! These days, I’m feeling much braver behind the camera. Happy reading (and judging my photos), everyone!
