Blimey, it was windy today! Not just a breezy kind of windy—I’m talking hair-whipping, coat-flapping, hold-onto-your-hat levels of gusty. The walk to the venue felt like an adventure in itself, but let me tell you, it was so worth it. The barn was absolutely buzzing, packed with amazing stalls and crowds of people queuing left, right, and center to grab all the gluten-free goodies they could get their hands on. What a day!
This was my first time attending a gluten-free festival, and honestly, I was completely in awe! The variety was amazing, but my coeliac brain kicked in hard—every time someone offered me a sample, my first instinct was to double-check, “Is this gluten-free?” (Yes, I asked at least twice 😂). There was so much to see, taste, and buy, and while I wish I could have taken home everything, I snagged some incredible finds—and couldn’t be happier with the haul!
A massive shoutout to Nicola Walpole for organizing and pulling off such an incredible event! It was so lovely to finally meet her in person and see firsthand the amazing day she created—despite the wind trying to blow us away and the rain doing its best to soak the fun. 🌧️
Was also lovely to meet Ali Walsh in person as well. Got a lovely selfie with her and had a good chat, we were both so rather shocked with how busy it was but didn’t despair on how rubbish the weather was 😂.
I had the chance to meet some truly lovely people and chat with them about their fantastic stalls. Over the next few days, I’m planning to share more posts highlighting the incredible food I discovered—and trust me, there’s plenty to rave about! Stay tuned for all the delicious details!
