Pies, Glorious Pies by Voakes Free From

Post number 4 from the Gluten Free Festival at the weekend is all about pies 🥧—not just any pies, but the amazing gluten-free pies from Voakes Free From. I’ll admit, I’ve been a little greedy and bought three, enjoying one each day this week. They’re absolutely delicious, with melt-in-the-mouth pastry—a treat I haven’t had in ages. As you know, gluten-free pies 🥧can be hard to come by, and finding ones this good is even rarer!

The three pies I got were

  • Pork and Black Pudding Pie
  • Chicken Pie
  • Pork, Chicken and Stuffing Pie

All three were fantastic, but I have to say my favorite was definitely the Pork, Chicken, and Stuffing pie. The texture and taste were outstanding, making for a truly satisfying lunch.

This company has really knocked it out of the park! Their pies 🥧have secured a well-deserved spot at the very top of my savory pie shopping list.

Having been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease over 8 years ago but also suffering from symptoms for about 30 years, I decided to take action. A few years back, I launched a Facebook group to help fellow gluten-free diners in Milton Keynes find the best places to eat. The group quickly became a little sensation. Encouraged by this success, I created another group for the Northampton area a couple of years later. Both groups have become a useful resource for people searching for gluten-free dining options in their respective areas.

Recently, I took a bold step to expand even further and launched The GF Table UK. My mission? To share my journey, experiences, and insights on living a gluten-free lifestyle and to help others navigate their own paths with ease. Here’s to many more gluten-free adventures ahead!
