Jelly beans are, without a doubt, my favourite candy. They’re small, colourful, and bursting with flavour—what’s not to love? As a coeliac, they’re one of the few sweets I can grab knowing they won’t contain any gluten (I still find myself checking though, just in case).
For me, it’s all about the fruity flavours, especially strawberry and there’s just something about that satisfying chew and pop of flavour that never gets old.
I love them so much that I once demolished a 1kg bag in a week. No regrets. Well, maybe a little regret when I realised I’d basically replaced real food with jelly beans for seven days straight. But honestly? Worth it.

I’ve also currently got a box of weird flavoured ones but can’t quite bring myself to try them just in case I do get the garbage flavour.
And here is one fun fact about jelly beans that you might have not known.
Believe it or not, jelly beans may have been inspired by Turkish delight—a chewy confection hailing from the Middle East that dates back centuries.
So, what’s your favourite candy—and do you have any quirky jelly bean facts to share? Let me know in the comments!
