Newton Keys Lake: Swan with Cygnets at Sunset (Summer 2020)

A white swan is resting on a patch of green grass near the edge of a calm lake during sunset. In the background, another swan stands near the water, and a group of cygnets swims nearby, surrounded by ducks gliding across the reflective surface. The golden light of the setting sun casts a warm glow on the scene, highlighting the peaceful atmosphere. The grassy foreground has patches of wildflowers and small white blossoms scattered throughout.

There’s something peaceful about this moment—the swan resting on the grass, the soft ripples on the lake, and the golden light of the setting sun. It just sits there, completely unbothered, while its little cygnets paddle in the water behind it. Ducks drift by, adding to the slow, steady rhythm of the evening. I took this in Newton Keys in the summer of 2020, and even now, looking back, it reminds me how effortlessly beautiful nature can be when you just stop and take it in.

Some of the earlier images on this site are AI-generated because, let’s be honest, I had neither the time nor the skills to snap Pinterest-worthy photos while juggling another job. But hey, practice makes progress! These days, I’m feeling much braver behind the camera. Happy reading (and judging my photos), everyone!
