It would, without a doubt, have to be a hot summer’s day followed by some heavy showers.
There’s something about the warmth, the blue skies, and then, just as the heat becomes a little too much, the sudden downpour hits with such ferocity. But it never lasts long—before you know it, it’s gone, leaving behind that fresh, cool feeling. I had this happen a few times when I was camping as a kid, and I absolutely loved it. Watching the rain come down, seeing Mother Nature at work—it’s one of the best feelings in the world.
Don’t get me wrong, though. Now that I’m older, getting soaked in the rain isn’t quite as fun as it used to be. But I do miss that feeling, and I can’t wait for my son to experience it—I just know he’ll love it.
