The Power of Saying No (Unless Snacks Are Involved)

How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

Ever found yourself deep in a Facebook Reel rabbit hole instead of doing something productive? Yeah, me too.

I try to say “no” as often as I can to stay on track, but let’s be honest—it’s not always easy. Distractions are everywhere, whether it’s an unnecessary commitment, social media, or the sudden urge to reorganise the spice rack instead of writing.

Over time, I’ve learned that every “yes” to something unimportant is a “no” to my goals. So, I’ve got better at being selective. That said, some detours are worth it—like an unexpected gluten-free snack break. Priorities, right?
