Serves: 2
Tools for the Job
- Non-stick frying pan
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring spoons
- Tongs or spatula
Ingredients
- 200g paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 60ml gluten-free soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1–2 tsp brown sugar (adjust to taste)
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (plus extra for garnish)

Method
- Make the sauce: In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and sesame seeds. Stir well to combine.
- Cook the paneer: Heat the sesame oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the paneer cubes and fry until golden on all sides—this takes about 4–5 minutes.
- Add the sauce: Pour the sauce mixture into the pan. Stir to coat the paneer evenly and reduce the heat to medium.
- Simmer and reduce: Let the sauce bubble gently, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and coats the paneer in a sticky glaze (about 3–5 minutes).
- Serve: Sprinkle with extra sesame seeds and serve hot—great with rice, quinoa, or even inside lettuce cups.
