Transform Your Space with a Mini Succulent Garden

Open glass terrarium on a wooden desk containing two succulent plants, moss, and decorative stones.

I picked this up yesterday and I’m still a bit in awe of it. A miniature world in an open glass bowl—succulents, moss, stone and soil, all layered like a living sculpture. One plant stretches up with bold, spiky confidence, while the other fans out in soft, velvety layers. It feels balanced, calm, and quietly full of life.

It’s my first terrarium with succulents in it, and I’ve already become slightly obsessed. There’s something grounding about having this little green space on my desk. I find myself pausing to look at it, as if it’s reminding me to slow down too. I can’t wait to see how it grows over time.

If you’ve got any advice for keeping succulents happy in an open terrarium, I’d love to hear it. I want to give these two the best chance to thrive.

Funny how something so small can feel like the beginning of something new.

Some of the earlier images on this site are AI-generated because, let’s be honest, I had neither the time nor the skills to snap Pinterest-worthy photos while juggling another job. But hey, practice makes progress! These days, I’m feeling much braver behind the camera. Happy reading (and judging my photos), everyone!
