Last week, we headed down to Cornwall for some much-needed sunshine, sea air, and (hopefully) safe gluten-free food.
We stayed in Par, explored Truro, Mevagissey, Port Isaac, and Polkerris — and yes, I ate more burgers than I care to admit. Ollie spent most of the week running in and out of the sea yelling “Daddy, you can do it!” every time a wave came near, and I spent most of the week pretending I wasn’t freezing.
We found gluten-free fish and chips, pub roasts, pasties, a brownie worth remembering, and even managed a paddle boat session and a scenic glimpse of the sea caves outside Port Isaac.
The full travel diary is now live on my Substack. It’s packed with food, photos, family moments, and a fair bit of me being slightly dramatic about cold water.
