Wicked Kitchen’s Fried Aubergine Parmigiana Ravioli – Crispy, Cheesy and Gluten Free

If you’re living gluten-free and always on the lookout for something that actually delivers on flavour, Wicked Kitchen might just be your new best mate. Their Gluten Free Aubergine Parmigiana Ravioli is packed with bold filling and free from gluten, dairy, and nonsense. And when you give it a cheeky 30-second boil followed by a pan-fry? Absolute magic.

This quick and easy method turns Wicked Kitchen’s chilled ravioli into golden, crispy parcels of joy. Whether you’re vegan, coeliac, or just done with disappointing pasta, this is one shortcut meal that doesn’t taste like a compromise.

What You’ll Need

  • 1 pack Wicked Kitchen Gluten Free Aubergine Parmigiana Ravioli (Tesco)
  • Olive oil for pan-frying
  • Grated hard cheese of your choice (I used a dairy cheese, but go vegan if you prefer!)

How to Make It

  1. Bring a small pan of water to the boil.
  2. Add the ravioli and boil gently for just 30 seconds — this softens them slightly and helps them hold their shape.
  3. Drain carefully and set aside while you heat a non-stick frying pan with a splash of olive oil.
  4. Add the ravioli to the hot pan and fry on each side for a few minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Serve immediately, topped with a generous grating of cheese.

Wicked Kitchen Ravioli: The Verdict

Most gluten-free fresh pasta either falls apart or ends up gummy. But Wicked Kitchen’s gluten-free ravioli genuinely holds up and better yet, crisps up beautifully after just a short boil. The filling’s rich and well-balanced, with aubergine, tomato, basil, and a coconut-based cheese alternative that even dairy-lovers won’t turn their nose up at.

There are no ‘may contain gluten’ warnings, which makes this ravioli a rare coeliac win. It’s quick, it’s satisfying, and it feels like a proper treat with zero gluten stress.

Some of us are maize/corn intolerant or even allergic, as well as wheat’s ‘family’ of gluten filled ‘stuff’.

Some of the earlier images on this site are AI-generated because, let’s be honest, I had neither the time nor the skills to snap Pinterest-worthy photos while juggling another job. But hey, practice makes progress! These days, I’m feeling much braver behind the camera. Happy reading (and judging my photos), everyone!
