Looks like this was the same prompt from last year but i thought i would update as i think now we would have to replace the Chicken Tikka with something a little different (will probably change again next year 🤣).
Some meals just earn their place on the menu without debate. They are the dishes that survive the weekly food shop battle the budget rethink and the eternal hunt for decent gluten free foods. Three recipes always make it to the plate in our house and for good reason.
Roast Dinner
The ultimate comfort classic. Nothing beats crispy roast potatoes and a rich gluten free gravy poured over everything in sight. Add a few gluten free Yorkshire puddings and suddenly Sunday feels like a national celebration.
Spaghetti Bolognaise
Simple cosy and endlessly reliable. A rich bolognaise sauce clinging to gluten-free pasta is my idea of a perfect evening. Finish with a snowfall of grated cheese and it becomes the kind of meal that convinces you life is absolutely fine.
If you want a quick shortcut that still hits the mark, try the ready-meal version of Jamie Olivers Low & Slow Beef Ragu (my review here) that I paired with gluten free spaghetti, perfect for nights when you want comfort without the cooking stress.
Homemade Smash Burgers and Chips
Crispy edged patties toasted gluten free buns and a mountain of chips. It is messy. It is indulgent. It is everything a midweek dinner should be. And somehow it tastes better every time.
These three meals prove that gluten free eating is not about limitations but about making the classics work your way and enjoying every bite.
