Marimo Moss Ball

A close-up photograph of a small aquatic setup in a glass container. Inside, there is a large, green Marimo moss ball with a fuzzy texture, partially resting on a bed of small, golden-yellow gravel. A white and gray speckled rock is positioned next to the moss ball. The water in the container is clear, and the background is blurred, showing a brown surface beneath the glass.

Just added a Marimo moss ball to my collection of unique and quirky plants! 🌱 I saw it while shopping in Sainsbury’s and, I’ve got to admit, I love it. According to Wikipedia, these things are declining in the wild, so I feel like I’m doing my part by keeping this cute little plant alive.

I’ve started a collection of houseplants that are a little different but harder to kill, as I’m not brilliant at keeping them alive. One of my favourites is my Bunny Ears Cactus, but I think this Moss Ball might even trump that one.

Some of the earlier images on this site are AI-generated because, let’s be honest, I had neither the time nor the skills to snap Pinterest-worthy photos while juggling another job. But hey, practice makes progress! These days, I’m feeling much braver behind the camera. Happy reading (and judging my photos), everyone!
