If I could create my dream home, it would be nestled in the serene beauty of Cornwall, just outside of Par, close to the coast but a little isolated. The location would offer that perfect balance of tranquillity, with the sound of the waves in the distance and nature all around, but still within reach of town life when I want it.
The exterior would be a modern take on a traditional cottage—stone and wood blending into the surroundings, with a cosy porch where I could sit with a cup of coffee, watching the birds at my feeder.
Inside, the heart of the home would be the kitchen, spacious and perfect for cooking, with lots of counter space for gluten-free creations. The living room would be family-friendly, featuring a fireplace and bookshelves, a comfy sofa for relaxing after a day of adventure, and a space for my writing.
A dedicated office would give me the quiet I need for writing, while the bedrooms would be simple, calming spaces designed for rest and recharge. Outside, I’d have a garden with herbs, veggies, and plenty of seating to enjoy the coastal air. A pond in the back garden—or perhaps a small stream at the end of the garden—would add to the peaceful, natural vibe.
My dream home would be a peaceful retreat where creativity flows, and my family feels right at home. A space that reflects who I am, with just enough isolation to reconnect with the things that matter most.
