On our little drive🚘 (though 5 and a half hours isn’t exactly ‘little’), we made a pit stop at Pizza Express Bristol before heading down to Cornwall. I went for the BBQ Burnt Ends Gluten-Free Romana Pizza🍕 and I’ve got to say, it was massive. By the time I reached the last slice, I was absolutely stuffed. As expected, the pizza was top-notch (they are a national chain, after all). It was the perfect fuel for the rest of our journey!
As you can see from the photo, the pizza was generously slathered in BBQ sauce. The sun-dried tomatoes🍅 were a lovely addition, mellowing out the sharpness of the sauce. The pieces of beef🥩 were melt-in-your-mouth tender. And let’s not forget the gluten-free base—so good that I actually enjoyed the crust more than the rest of the pizza as it had a delicious mouth watering crunch. This one’s a definite repeat!

I have to say, the service was top-notch. The staff were super attentive and handled my Coeliac needs with such care and professionalism. It really made the experience that much more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back for more!👏
