Honestly? It’s all about slowing things down and reconnecting. Once the chaos of the day is behind me—whether that’s work stress, life admin, or the usual toddler tornado—I’m heading straight for the sofa. That’s where you’ll find me, sat next to my wife, something playing on Netflix, and the world just melting away for a while.
There’s something incredibly comforting about just being still with the person you love. No pressure to talk (though we usually do), no big plans—just being present, unwinding together, and maybe arguing over what to watch for 20 minutes before settling on something we’ve both already seen. Again.
It’s simple, but it works. And after a full-on day, that kind of quiet, shared space is exactly what I need.
