“Why Doesn’t Daddy Eat That?” — Explaining My Gluten-Free Life to My Son

My son is only three, but one day he’ll ask why Daddy eats different food. Right now, I just tell him, “That will make Daddy poorly.” But when he’s older, I want him to understand what coeliac disease really means — without making food feel scary or complicated.
