My Gluten Free Chronicles – Episode One

Blended claymation and photorealistic teenage boy smiling with a pastry outside a bakery.

Everyone’s coeliac journey is different, and mine has been anything but straightforward. After years of misdiagnoses, endless hospital visits, and more baffled doctors than I can count, I finally received the answer that changed everything: coeliac disease.

In the very first episode of My Gluten Free Chronicles, I take you back to where it all started, the painful symptoms, the confusion, and the long road to getting a diagnosis. It’s honest, raw, and sometimes a bit ridiculous (because if you don’t laugh about it, you might cry just a little).

This series is my way of documenting life with coeliac disease, the struggles, the humour and the things I’ve learned along the way. My hope is that it helps others feel a little less alone in their own gluten free journey.

Why follow along?

  • To get an unfiltered look at what it’s really like to be coeliac
  • To laugh at the absurdities (like the time I was told carrots were to blame for my symptoms)
  • To reflect on how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go

So grab a coffee (gluten free biscuit optional) and join me on this ride.

Some of the earlier images on this site are AI-generated because, let’s be honest, I had neither the time nor the skills to snap Pinterest-worthy photos while juggling another job. But hey, practice makes progress! These days, I’m feeling much braver behind the camera. Happy reading (and judging my photos), everyone!
