Why I Shaved My Beard for Movember to Support Men’s Health

Well… it finally happened. The beard is gone. 🧔➡️😳

After years of loyal service I have said goodbye to it for Movember all in the name of raising awareness for men’s health.

Movember is about more than growing or losing facial hair. It is about starting conversations, breaking stigma, and reminding each other that it is okay to talk.

So this month the beard may be gone but the mission continues. I will be growing what I hope will be an epic moustache to keep the spirit of Movember alive and to see if my face forgives me for this decision.

As one of the cofounders of Men Vs Gluten I have seen how powerful it can be when men open up about health, stress, and life in general. This month is about taking that message further, talking, checking in, and showing that small actions can spark bigger change.

💙 Every whisker lost and every moustache hair gained is for something bigger.

Some of the earlier images on this site are AI-generated because, let’s be honest, I had neither the time nor the skills to snap Pinterest-worthy photos while juggling another job. But hey, practice makes progress! These days, I’m feeling much braver behind the camera. Happy reading (and judging my photos), everyone!
