A Still Moment by the Lake

A tranquil lake surrounded by lush green vegetation and trees, reflecting a bright blue sky with scattered white clouds. The calm water has patches of green algae near the shore, blending into the natural landscape. The scene exudes a peaceful, serene atmosphere with hints of autumnal colours in the foliage.

Last autumn, my wife, son, and I took a trip to Rushden Lakes, and it was one of those perfect crisp days—blue skies, golden trees, and water so still it looked like glass. Our little one had the best time running around, pointing at the birds and watching the water, completely fascinated by everything. I snapped this photo in a rare quiet moment, just taking it all in. No labels to check, no gluten worries—just fresh air, family, and a reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things.

Some of the earlier images on this site are AI-generated because, let’s be honest, I had neither the time nor the skills to snap Pinterest-worthy photos while juggling another job. But hey, practice makes progress! These days, I’m feeling much braver behind the camera. Happy reading (and judging my photos), everyone!
