My Two Favourite Humans (and the Tiny One Who Steals My Snacks)

Daily writing prompt
Who are your favorite people to be around?

If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that my favourite people to be around are my wife, Helen, and our little tornado of energy, Ollie.

Helen’s the one who’s got my back no matter what—she’s not only my wife but my best friend. She’s the person I can talk to about anything—whether it’s gluten-free baking disasters, the latest series we’re binge-watching, or our shared dream of moving to Cornwall one day.

And then there’s Ollie. Our three-year-old little man, who’s constantly on the move, exploring everything, and always up to something. He makes life feel like one big adventure, even when it’s just a trip to the kitchen for snacks. I swear he can smell chocolate or cake a mile away.

They both remind me every single day why life’s so much better when you’ve got the right people around you. No matter how busy life gets, home is where they are.

A bearded man with slicked-back dark hair and a maroon polo shirt smiling warmly while holding a grey mug of coffee towards the camera.

Some of the earlier images on this site are AI-generated because, let’s be honest, I had neither the time nor the skills to snap Pinterest-worthy photos while juggling another job. But hey, practice makes progress! These days, I’m feeling much braver behind the camera. Happy reading (and judging my photos), everyone!
