What is your middle name? Does it carry any special meaning/significance?

Oh, you thought this was going to be interesting? I hate to disappoint, but I don’t actually have a middle name. Never have. It’s a tragic tale of being denied an extra name like all the cool kids.

I’ve moaned to my mum about this countless times, but apparently, she just “didn’t see the need.” Didn’t see the need?! The need for an extra bit of flair, an emergency name for when I’m in trouble, or just something to make my signature look fancier? The injustice.

So, to answer the question: my middle name is nothing. No deep meaning, no family tradition—just a big, empty space on forms where something exciting could have been. Apologies to anyone who thought they were about to read something meaningful. I, too, had high hopes.

Having been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease over 8 years ago but also suffering from symptoms for about 30 years, I decided to take action.
