May contain humour. Definitely doesn’t contain gluten.
It’s Monday 7th July 2025, which means it’s officially World Chocolate Day a totally real celebration and not just an excuse to eat chocolate for breakfast (although I’ve done that too).
So, to mark the occasion, I’m sharing some of my favourite gluten-free chocolate bars, the ones that are safe for coeliacs and don’t taste like dusty disappointment. These are the treats I actually eat and love, and they’ve earned a permanent spot in my snack drawer (along with emergency loperamide and rogue raisins from my toddler).
If you are looking for even more ideas, I have also put together a guide to Gluten Free Chocolate and Sweets in the UK, which includes a wider mix of chocolate, sweets, and a few artisan discoveries.
Let’s get into the good stuff 👇
🍬 My Go-To Gluten-Free Chocolate Favourites
These bars are safe for most coeliacs in the UK, no gluten ingredients, and either no ‘may contain’ warning or widely tolerated by those of us avoiding gluten like it’s an ex at Tesco.
🍫 Cadbury’s Curly Wurly
Chewy, chocolatey, and built to fuse to your teeth like industrial glue. Iconic. Gluten-free.
🍬 Toffifee
Tiny hazelnut masterpieces in caramel cups. And yes, they’re gluten-free. (Also my personal weakness. Please don’t tell my son where I hide them.)
🐣 Cadbury’s Mini Eggs
Technically an Easter treat, but who’s judging? No gluten and loads of crunch.
🇸🇪 Daim Bar
Crunchy almond caramel and milk chocolate. No gluten ingredients and no warning label = a win.
🌌 Galaxy Smooth Milk
This one’s a personal choice: no gluten ingredients or may contain warning, but not officially labelled gluten-free. Many coeliacs (myself included) tolerate it fine but trust your gut, literally.
🇺🇸 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Sweet, salty, and safe. These are still gluten-free and absolutely delicious.
🍫 Kinder Chocolate Bars
Marketed for kids, inhaled by adults. Creamy filling, coeliac-safe, and gone in two bites.
😋 M&M’s Salted Caramel
This flavour is gluten-free and glorious. Some M&M’s aren’t safe, but this one’s a winner, always check the label though, because they do like to switch things up without warning.
🥜 Snickers
It’s basically a chocolatey protein bar if you squint hard enough. GF and satisfying.
🌿 Aero Mint
Bubbly minty goodness that melts in your mouth and freshens your breath at the same time. No gluten, no worries.
🔺 Toblerone
Swiss triangles of joy. Gluten-free and perfect for gifting to someone… or not.

🍫 Final Thoughts (Before I Go Back to Eating Chocolate)
Chocolate is one of those rare joys in a gluten-free life that doesn’t have to be complicated as long as you’re label-savvy and armed with trusted lists like this one.
Celebrate World Chocolate Day however you like: with a bar in your hand, a stash under your pillow, or just a solid excuse to not share with your family. You’ve earned it.
